With a few months into the fall semester at UMW we thought it would be good to take a look at what interesting things are happening on UMW Blogs with specific courses and how professors are making use of that space. As a special treat we have a live studio audience join us!
In this special (and rather long) episode of DTLT Today we sit down with Cheryl Colan, Michael Branson Smith, and Todd Conaway to discuss how the structure for ds106 will work. Find out about the for-credit courses that Cheryl and Michael are running and how UMW with the help of Todd, GNA Garcia, and others will represent a distributed open online effort within their courses.
For the first time in several semesters, UMW will not be providing a digital storytelling course as part of regular curriculum to students. In light of this DTLT is preparing to become participants as part of an open online narrative with Cheryl Colan and Michael Branson Smith and a cohort of others. In this episode we discuss some of the interesting dynamics of that and possibilities for the fall semester.
